Policy
Privacy
The short version: reading this site tells nobody but this site that you read it, and we keep almost nothing.
Reading the site
Pages on this site make no third-party requests. Fonts are self-hosted, graphics are our own files, and there are no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, social widgets or embedded trackers of any kind. We do not set cookies. Our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) processes standard request logs, IP address, user agent, requested URL, to serve and secure the site, as any host does.
The forms
The tips, corrections and advertising forms send exactly the fields you fill in, plus the page a correction refers to. Name and email are optional on tips and corrections, deliberately: we would rather have the tip than your identity. Submissions are stored in a private database, are used only to assess and act on what you sent, and are not shared with third parties. Files you attach are stored privately and deleted automatically after 30 days.
If you email us or advertise with us
Advertising enquiries ask for contact details because they start a business conversation; we use them for that conversation and nothing else.
Source protection
If you send a tip anonymously, we make no attempt to identify you. If you identify yourself, we do not publish your identity or share it outside the editorial process without your agreement, unless the law compels us.
Corrections to this policy
If our practices change, this page changes first, with the date of the change noted. This page was last updated on 11 July 2026.
